Jacksonville, FL — Sept 24, 2026 — Xpertegic Partners, an M&A corporate development and integration firm serving private equity firms and PE-backed companies, today announced a new partnership with Allen Consulting Group (ACG). As part of the partnership, Jamie Allen and Marc S. Fussell will join Xpertegic’s Operating Expert Network, strengthening the firm’s capabilities across IT due diligence and post-merger integration.

Together, Jamie and Marc bring decades of experience evaluating, leading, and transforming complex technology environments. Their work with Xpertegic will help private equity sponsors and portfolio companies understand technology risks before an acquisition, build practical integration plans, and execute the technology changes required after close.

“Technology can create significant risk or significant value in an acquisition, depending on how early you understand the environment and how well you execute after close,” said Dieunor Michel, Founder and Managing Partner of Xpertegic. “Jamie and Marc bring the senior-level experience we want supporting our clients. They understand how to assess technology from a business perspective and, just as importantly, how to lead the work required to integrate and improve it.”

Deep IT Due Diligence Experience for Private Equity

Jamie Allen, Founder of Allen Consulting Group, brings more than 20 years of consulting and operational advisory experience, including prior leadership roles with PwC, IBM Global Services, and BI Solutions Group. His work has ranged from privately held companies to Fortune 100 organizations across telecommunications, financial services, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, and other industries.

Jamie brings a proven track record in private equity transactions, regularly conducting IT due diligence for targets ranging from roughly $200 million to $2 billion in annual revenue . His work increasingly spans the full private equity ownership lifecycle, from pre-close technology assessment through post-close operational improvement and value creation.

His broader experience includes operating model design, program and transition management, enterprise systems implementation, data management, finance transformation, and operational improvement. Representative engagements have delivered planning cycle reductions of 25%, operational cycle reductions of 20%, and millions of dollars in annual technology and licensing savings.

ACG was built around a senior-led consulting model in which experienced operators remain directly involved in delivery rather than handing engagements to junior teams. That approach aligns closely with Xpertegic’s model of bringing experienced functional experts directly into the transaction and integration process.

Technology Leadership from Architecture to the CIO Office

Marc Fussell adds more than 30 years of technology and business leadership experience, spanning software development, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, data, IT operations, and executive technology leadership. His career has included roles as CIO, CTO, senior vice president of architecture, consultant, entrepreneur, and founder.

At Citigroup, Marc led application, infrastructure, and data architecture organizations. He later served as CTO and SVP of Technology at American Support and worked with Centric Consulting as a lead architect, interim technology executive, and virtual CIO, helping organizations modernize applications, strengthen cybersecurity, and better align technology with business objectives.

Most recently, as CIO of The Armstrong Company, Marc held responsibility for technology strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, architecture, budgeting, vendors, talent, and operations. He expanded the IT organization from six to 20 people, led the company’s move from a largely on-premise environment to an Azure-first cloud model, and guided the organization through recovery from a ransomware attack without paying the ransom.

This combination of hands-on technical depth and executive leadership allows Marc to evaluate technology not simply as an IT function, but as part of the broader investment thesis, operating model, and value-creation plan.

Connecting IT Due Diligence to Post-Merger Integration

Through the partnership, Jamie and Marc will support Xpertegic clients across key areas of technology due diligence and IT integration, including technology architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, data, IT organization, vendors, systems scalability, technology costs, integration requirements, and transformation planning.

Their addition strengthens Xpertegic’s ability to carry findings from diligence directly into post-close execution.

During diligence, the focus is understanding what technology risks, costs, dependencies, and opportunities exist within the target. After close, the work shifts toward determining what should be integrated, what should remain independent, what systems need to change, and how technology can support the combined company’s operating model and growth strategy.

By bringing experienced technology operators into both stages, Xpertegic aims to reduce the gap that often exists between identifying an issue during diligence and actually resolving it after the transaction closes.

Expanding Xpertegic’s Operating Expert Network

The partnership with Allen Consulting Group further expands Xpertegic’s Operating Expert Network and its ability to provide private equity firms and portfolio companies with experienced functional leadership throughout the M&A lifecycle.

Jamie brings deep experience in IT due diligence, program execution, enterprise systems, operating model design, and technology-enabled value creation. Marc brings extensive experience across CIO leadership, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, technology operations, and large-scale modernization.

Together, they strengthen Xpertegic’s ability to help clients answer two important technology questions in every acquisition:

What technology risks and opportunities are we acquiring?

And what needs to happen after close to build the technology environment the combined business actually needs?
