Gregg Mischner Profile

Gregg Mischner

Operating Expert

Gregg Mischner has spent more than 20 years on both sides of the deal: raising the capital, carving out the entity, integrating
the acquisitions, and then staying in the business until the operating results move. His career spans private equity-backed,
public, and founder-led companies from $40M to $3.4B in revenue across distribution, consumer, apparel, industrial, and
beverage.

As COO/CFO of a $250M global apparel and distribution platform carved out of a $3.4B public parent, Gregg built the investment thesis and financial model and pitched 13 private equity firms to raise $55M in support of the transaction. He then built the standalone company from a standing start, covering treasury and multi-currency banking, ERP, payroll and benefits,
and organizational design, and expanded EBITDA from 5% to 14% within 18 months. Two add-on acquisitions followed during that period, including a $25M distressed competitor acquired mid-pandemic and merged into a unified U.S. distribution model.

At a $700M+ PE-backed consumer platform, he owned distribution, logistics, and post-merger integration across seven U.S. facilities and international 3PLs on two continents, running an $80M operating budget and more than 500 staff. He folded three acquired entities into core operations, took $22M out of the cost base, and led the business case and launch of a $92M, one-
million-square-foot automated distribution center.

Earlier in his career, Gregg standardized reporting and the balance sheet across 80 countries and 20 currencies for a $3.4B
public retailer, and scaled a route-based beverage distribution group from $40M to $170M across 17 exclusive territories while serving as its interim CFO.

At Xpertegic, Gregg provides support for CFO due diligence and post-merger integration.

Today he runs a fractional COO/CFO practice serving PE-backed and founder-led companies at post-acquisition, pre-exit, and
rapid-scale inflection points, restructuring financials for diligence, building FP&A and KPI infrastructure, and running integration and PMO workstreams. He holds an MBA in Finance and is based in Sugar Land, Texas.
